A warm welcome to Havant Literary Festival.
For four days in September we will be celebrating the written and spoken word in over a dozen venues in Havant, Leigh Park and Hayling Island, including Art Centres, Libraries and Havant & Waterlooville Football Club. The packed Festival programme includes theatre, readings, talks, signings, workshops, street events, poetry, competitions, walks, local history, exhibitions, children's events, film, cabaret, art, literary menus, a Book Fair, a Book Quiz - and a poet in a shed! Where better to enjoy the National Year of Reading than here in Havant, where parchment of the finest quality was once made, where Keats wrote The Eve of St Agnes and where The Hawks reached the fourth round of the FA Cup . . . See you there! Lucy Flannery Festival Director NewCheck out the news page for news of the latest competition. You can also now browse a list of artists performing at Havant Literary Festival here.
